The Budding Botanical Illustrators Club

“It was snowing butterflies.”

– Charles Darwin, The Voyage of the Beagle, first published in 1839.

Photos from a local primary school where BOTANY and other stories spent three creative days pressing flowers, drawing butterflies, planting seeds with the help of gardener Fifi Birks.

Among work with other local groups, BOTANY and other stories has also created bookmarks with The HayDay Café, working with people with dementia and those who take care of them. The bookmarks are a nod to BOTANY and other stories’ base in Hay-on-Wye, the world’s first book town.
